V. Basque Country Tournament of Intellivision 

The 25th of june, the Eusko Retro Association organized the V. Basque Country Tournament of Intellivissión. The first one we organized in 2020 and this has been the fifth session. 5 enthusiastic players participated: Arrate, Zuriñe, Egoitz, Daniel and Mikel and after playing four good games such as Astrosmash, Car Racing and Battle Tanks (Triple Action) and finally Skiing the winner was Egoitz.. Everyone had a great time and they will get together again in december for a new tournament.

First we played Astrosmash, a classic shooter game from the Intellivision, and in my opinion one of the best games on the Mattel console. We played who got the best score before his ship exploded for the third time.

Then we played Car Racing from Triple Action in pairs. In this case, the one who achieved 100 points in the shortest possible time was Egoitz, followed by Daniel Barrientos. Then we played another game of this cartridge, Battle Tanks, a classic game of this period about tanks combat. And finally, we play another game that we really like, Skiing. This time Egoitz set the fastest time again and managed to descend the entire ski slope in less than two minutes.

The idea is to organize the VI. Basque Country Tournament of Intellivision in december and next time we hope to encourage more players and have more games such as; Ventur and Frog Bog.

 V.Torneo Vasco de Intellivision

El 25 de junio, la Asociación Retro Eusko organizó el V Torneo Vasco de Intellivision. El primero que organizamos fue en 2020 y esta ha sido la quinta edición. Participaron 5 jugadores entusiastas: Arrate, Zuriñe, Egoitz, Daniel y Mikel. Tras jugar a cuatro buenos juegos como Astrosmash, Carreras de coches y Tanques de batalla (Triple Action), y finalmente Esquí, el ganador fue Egoitz. Todos lo pasaron genial y volverán a reunirse en diciembre para un nuevo torneo.

Primero jugamos a Astrosmash, un clásico shooter de Intellivision, y en mi opinión uno de los mejores juegos de la consola de Mattel. Jugamos a ver quién conseguía la mejor puntuación antes de que su nave explotara por tercera vez.

Después jugamos a Carreras de coches de Triple Action por parejas. En este caso, el que alcanzó los 100 puntos en el menor tiempo posible fue Egoitz, seguido de Daniel Barrientos. Luego jugamos a otro juego de este cartucho, Battle Tanks, un clásico de la época sobre combate de tanques. Y finalmente, jugamos a otro juego que nos gusta mucho, Skiing. Esta vez Egoitz volvió a marcar el mejor tiempo y logró bajar toda la pista de esquí en menos de dos minutos.

La idea es organizar el VI Torneo Vasco de Intellivision en diciembre y la próxima vez esperamos animar a más jugadores y tener más juegos como Ventur y Frog Bog.

El martes pasado Euskal Retro organizó el IV. Torneo Vasco de Intellivision. La Intellivision es uan retroconsola que nos gusta y hacia mucho que no haciamso un torneo de esta consola estaunidense de finales de los 70.Esta vez nos juntamos 6 jugadores en el "Bar Jofer" de Santutxu (Bilbao, Pais Vasco). Después de haber jugado a la Amstrad CPC 464, conectamos la Intellivision en el segundo piso y jugamos a tres juegos: Astrosmash, el juego de coches de Triple Action y Skiing.

El torneo estuvo muy bien y la igualdad fue máxima. Joseba Zubiaurre hizo el mejor tiempo en la carrera de "Car" de Triple Action y Egoitz consiguió la mejor puntuacióon en Astrosmash y Skking. La idea es organziar un nuevo torneo vasco de Intellivision en abril de 2026, si todo va bien. Aqui os dejamos los resultados y unas fotos:

Last Tuesday, Euskal Retro organized the 4th Basque Intellivision Tournament. The Intellivision is a retro console we like, and it's been a while since we've held a tournament for this American console from the late 1970s. This time, six players met at the "Bar Jofer" in Santutxu (Bilbao, Basque Country). After playing the Amstrad CPC 464, we connected the Intellivision on the second floor and played three games: Astrosmash, the Triple Action car game, and Skiing.

The tournament went very well and was extremely competitive. Joseba Zubiaurre posted the best time in the Triple Action "Car" race, and Egoitz got the best scores in Astrosmash and Skiing. The plan is to organize a new Basque Intellivision tournament in April 2026, if all goes well. Here are the results and some photos:
